An Overview of the Role:
This is a hands-on, full-time position with day-to-day responsibilities that support the Company by administering HR needs and serving as a subject-matter expert and trusted leader for our HR Consulting Department. The HR Consulting Manager directly supports the business needs and is considered a key leadership position within the HR Consulting team. The HR Consulting Manager provides guidance and direction on HR-related issues and business practices for the department.

Compensation: $114,700-$125,600; exempt
Hours: Full-time; 40 hours per week.

Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities:
Human Resources
  • Responsible for the management of the HR Consulting and Compensation team.
  • Oversee the management of work priorities and workload for the HR Consulting team to meet deadlines.
  • Assist in internal auditing and quality control efforts or project work.
  • Develop and execute action plans as needed to support the consulting department.
  • Responsible for payroll approvals, performance reviews, scorecard evaluation, recruiting, hiring, training team members, and evaluating team member performance.
  • Serve as one of the primary points of contact for member requests, including quote preparation, scope definition, and follow-up to ensure quality of work.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of HR Consulting & Scoping/Quoting of work.
Project Management & Client Member 
  • Conferring with client members to determine project scope, objectives, and deliverables, as needed, and to support the onboarding of new members, work with internal administrative support to send and follow up on quotes/proposals.
  • Monitor the project throughout its entire life cycle, maintaining positive client member expectations and meeting deadlines within specified parameters.
  • Provide reports for Co-Founders as needed or requested (ie. Compensation, budget preparation, professional development needs, etc.)
  • Serve a designated Quality Control reviewer.
  • Assign team members to projects to achieve member deliverables.
  • Manage and provide feedback for balanced scorecards, and attend member stewardship meetings with HR Generalist.
  • Responsible for ensuring ClickUp project management accurrate and up to date.
Leadership & Business Development Support
  • Support the development of the HR Generalist teams both professionally and through their day-to-day practice of HR competencies.
  • Support Co-Founders in business development, as needed and requested.
  • Handle and resolve escalated client-member issues as necessary, and escalate them to the Co-founders when required.
  • Responsible for 1:1 with all direct reports and conducting skip-level meetings quarterly with indirect reports.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned

Position Specific:
  • Advanced supervisor and leadership in managing large teams.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in managing multiple tasks or project management.
  • Skills to identify compliance concerns and risks, develop appropriate strategies, and possess the acumen to relate information on best practices to others.
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in developing and administering Federal & Colorado employment law.
  • Intermediate ability in addressing complex employee relations issues and conducting thorough workplace investigations.
  • Proficient understanding of advanced human resource principles and how to apply them in specific situations.
  • Excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail, task prioritization, delegation, and overall management of internal processes and controls.
  • The position supervises or manages the work of at least 2 full-time employees or their equivalents, while adhering to the organization’s policies and applicable laws. The position provides input or recommendations on personnel actions, including hiring, disciplinary actions, overtime, pay changes, and terminations.

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree required or a combination of education and experience.
  • PHR/SHRM-CP and/or SPHR/SHRM-CP certification required within the first year.
  • At least 10+ years of HR strategic, operational, or business-level experience as an HR generalist or specialty focus area work.
  • At least 5 years of experience working in a client-facing role preferred.
  • At least five years of prior leadership experience.
