The Compensation Analyst supports client compensation programs by managing market data, conducting job evaluations, and performing compensation analysis using advanced Excel and data analytics. The position partners with client teams on compensation-related projects, prepares reports and presentations on compensation metrics, and supports initiatives such as compensation studies, compliance audits, and benefits reconciliations. The analyst also maintains compensation procedures, ensures compliance with applicable regulations, and handles sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality while contributing to additional HR and compensation projects as needed.
Compensation: $98,600-$114,700; exempt
Hours: Full-time; 40 hours per week.

Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities:
Compensation Analysis & Strategy
Evaluate job roles to determine appropriate salary ranges and classifications based on job responsibilities, skills required, and market conditions.
Design and recommend salary structures and bonus programs that align with organizational goals and industry best practices
Conduct benchmarking analysis, job evaluation, and salary administration to determine appropriate salary ranges and pricing based on external equity.
Work closely with client partner teams on compensation projects
Conduct market pricing for jobs using Payfactors tools such as Quick Price and pricing projects to benchmark positions against market data.
Match internal jobs to survey benchmarks and review suggested matches to improve pricing accuracy and consistency.
Maintain and update job descriptions in the platform so jobs are standardized and aligned with compensation analysis.
Build, update, and maintain salary structures, grades, and pay ranges based on market movement and internal compensation strategy.
Analyze internal pay relationships, range penetration, and outlier pay situations to support equitable and competitive pay decisions.
Support pay equity reviews by identifying gaps, monitoring salary data, and preparing recommendations for corrective action.
Participate in salary surveys and survey data management to improve benchmarking quality and market competitiveness.
Prepare compensation reports, pay analyses, and recommendations for HR leaders, managers, and business partners.
Help create and distribute total rewards statements so employees and managers better understand compensation and benefits value.
Audit compensation data, partner with HRIS/HR teams on data quality, and document compensation processes for compliance and administration.
Data Analytics & Reporting
The role is critical in supporting our clients' compensation needs by helping manage the day-to-day administration of market data and data analytics using advanced Excel skills.
Participates in a variety of Human Resources and Compensation-related analytical projects, including data analysis, compensation equity studies, compliance audits, and benefits reconciliations
Provides analytical support for compensation programs, including Excel data analysis and reporting
Prepare reports and presentations on compensation metrics and trends for our clients
Program Administration & Compliance
Update and maintain the compensation administration procedures
Ensure compliance with legal requirements and regulations related to compensation practices
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with appropriate discretion.
Assist with other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- 6+ years of compensation and advanced Excel experience are required.
- Prior experience working with Payfactors & ERI or a similar compensation tool is highly preferred.
